Vocabulary  
Monroe Doctrine- a principle of US policy, originated by President James Monroe in 1823, that any intervention by external powers in the politics of the Americas is a potentially hostile act against the US.

Spanish American War- a war between Spain and the United States, fought in 1898. The war began as an intervention by the United States on behalf of Cuba.

 Roosevelt Corollary- the Roosevelt Corollary was an addition to the Monroe Doctrine articulated by President Theodore Roosevelt in his State of the Union address in 1904 after the Venezuela Crisis of 1902–03.

Panama Canal- waterway across the Isthmus of Panama. The canal connects the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. The United States built it from 1904 to 1914 on territory leased from Panama.

General Santa Anna & Mexico- Antonio López de Santa Anna Pérez de Lebrón (born February 21, 1794,  Jalapa, Mexico—died June 21, 1876, Mexico City) army officer and statesman who was the storm centre of Mexico's politics during such events as the Texas Revolution (1835–36) and the Mexican-American War (1846–48).

Benito Juarez- Benito Pablo Juárez García (born March 21, 1806San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca, Mexico—died July 18, 1872, Mexico City) national hero and president of Mexico(1861–72), who for three years (1864–67) fought against foreign occupation under the emperor Maximilian and who sought constitutional reforms to create a democratic federal republic.
  
Pancho Villa & Emiliano Zapata- real name Francisco (born José Doroteo Arango Arámbula; 5 June 1878 – 20 July 1923) was a Mexican Revolutionary general and one of the most prominent figures of the Mexican Revolution.Salazar (Spanish pronunciation: [emiˈljano saˈpata]; 8 August 1879 – 10 April 1919) was a leading figure in the Mexican Revolution, the main leader of the peasant revolution in the state of Morelos, and the inspiration of the agrarian movement called Zapatismo.

I enjoy playing basketball everyday. My favorite food would have to be sushi. I also enjoy playing hockey when I go over to my friend's house.
